How webdrop works

Three steps. No build process, no config files, no waiting around.

1

Sign in and choose your URL

Sign in, pick a name, and your files will live at yourname.webdrop.site. Names can use lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens — whoever deploys first gets the name.

2

Upload your files

Drag files into the dropzone or browse from your device. Add as many as you need — you're limited by the 100MB-per-file and 10GB-total free-tier storage, not by file count.

3

Go live

Hit deploy and your files are reachable at your subdomain right away. Share the link with anyone — nothing is public until you do.

A few questions

Do I need an account?

Yes, signing in is required to deploy a drop — it's what lets a name stay yours so you can come back and update or delete it later.

How long do drops stay live?

Indefinitely — nothing expires automatically. A drop stays up until you take it down.

Can I reuse a name?

Only if it's yours. Once a name is taken, it's reserved until whoever deployed it removes it.

What's the catch?

None — webdrop runs on Cloudflare's free tier, so limits follow whatever Cloudflare allows. See the limits page for specifics.
